That geometry makes a cart the obvious second vehicle for a lot of households, and it is why Marco has a cart density closer to a Keys community than to the rest of Collier County.

Marco Island carts are typically well-kept and lightly used, which sounds like good news for registration and mostly is. The complication is seasonality: carts sit for months, batteries and lighting circuits degrade quietly, and owners arrive in November expecting to register a cart that worked fine in April.
